Plenary #18): BrainPrime and Neurofeedback for the Aging Brain (part of Panel on Longevity and Anti Aging) [pP]>diet nutrition schedule
Effects of aging on cognitive function, both pathologic and normal, are reviewed in light of whether they are unavoidable and irreversible. Work of Budzinski, Hardt, Diamond and others are reviewed. A training approach to resolve these issues is presented.[pP]>diet nutrition schedule
Workshop #185): BrainPrime and the Aging Brain [pP]>diet nutrition schedule
Overview of brain changes in aging with a specific focus on a tested training approach to reversing them. The BrainPrime program was tested in Atlanta and shows consistent success.[pP]>diet nutrition schedule
Plenary #234): Meditation, Technology and the Future of NF [pP]>diet nutrition schedule
The history of meditation and the growth in technology point to a future for NF that may caution us against the short-sighted decisions being pushed by some of the field's current self-appointed leaders.[pP]>diet nutrition schedule
Workshop #195): Performing the TLC Assessment [pP]>diet nutrition schedule
Focus on gathering and reading the TLC Assessment data, including demonstration of various brain activation patterns commonly seen. Covers hardware and software options for performing the TLC.[pP]>diet nutrition schedule
EEG Foundations Course #184): Practical Brain-Based Assessment [pP]>diet nutrition schedule
.[pP]>diet nutrition schedule
Plenary #194): TLC; A Low Cost Alternative to qEEG [pP]>diet nutrition schedule
TLC Assessment is a free system for using generally available training equipment and software to perform brain-based evaluations that focus on activation patterns, not normative comparisons to guide trainers to effective protocols.[pP]>diet nutrition schedule

Plenary #18): BrainPrime and Neurofeedback for the Aging Brain (part of Panel on Longevity and Anti Aging)[pP]>diet nutrition schedule
EEG patterns show predictable developmental changes from birth through old age. Some common patterns are related to changes in blood supply and oxygenation. Others appear not to relate to pathologies. Recent evidence has shown that many of these changes need not happen, and that those which do can often be reversed through a variety of techniques including EEG training.[pP]>diet nutrition schedule
Workshop #185): BrainPrime and the Aging Brain[pP]>diet nutrition schedule
The BrainPrime program was developed and tested in Atlanta in 2000 as a general-purpose training for aging. The program will be presented in light of research on activation changes. Also covered will be program structure and marketing for those interested in working with this growing population. Specific protocols now usable in multiple softwares will also be covered.[pP]>diet nutrition schedule
Plenary #234): Meditation, Technology and the Future of NF[pP]>diet nutrition schedule
Meditation and NF are major self-regulation technologies, one based on intuition, the other on technology. Both were initially limited by their propagation by a priestly class that tried to limit access in the name of safety and quality. Changes in meditation as a discipline are reviewed and the rapid pace of equivalent changes in NF, pushed by technology are projected. Review of some of the decisions now being pushed by the field's leaders and a series of case studies raising questions as to the scientific basis of those decisions are presented.[pP]>diet nutrition schedule
Workshop #195): Performing the TLC Assessment[pP]>diet nutrition schedule
Defines hardware/software platforms capable of gathering TLC Assess data, demonstrates the process, reviews the data views included in the report and provides an overview of the activation patterns used in identifying key training issues. This workshop shows how the subjective and objective assessment files can be combined to give a client-centered, detailed view of brain activation that guides trainers to selecting most effective training strategies.[pP]>diet nutrition schedule
EEG Foundations Course #184): Practical Brain-Based Assessment[pP]>diet nutrition schedule
.[pP]>diet nutrition schedule
Plenary #194): TLC; A Low Cost Alternative to qEEG[pP]>diet nutrition schedule
PET and QEEG have been powerful tools in identifying brain activation patterns consistent with specific symptom sets. TLC Assess is a free tool that applies findings from these and other sources to detailed EEG data that can be gathered from various readily-available training platforms to provide histogram, map and data views of brain activation to better guide training decisions at reasonable cost.[pP]>diet nutrition schedule
